Julie Chen Moonves will host the popular reality show that has been a summer sensation Big Brother. The show will return to CBS on the 5th of August to begin its third season. Chen Moonves has been involved in The Talk since 2010, in which she served as both moderator and host. Her true passion was when she began writing her own show and won an Emmy. Also, she was awarded an Emmy for hosting as well as an outstanding entertainment talk show. Her experience in the news industry has helped her transition into The Talk, which examines current events and problems through the lens that of female hosts.Chen Moonves served as co-host of CBS News' weekday morning show The Early Show from 2002 until 2010. Prior to this, Chen Moonves was the CBS Morning News' anchor in addition to being the news anchor for The Early Show. She was sent to Cairo after 9/11 and conducted an intimate and fascinating discussion with the father who was the principal terrorist who took over the world. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news programme which featured celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul. Chen Moonves also reported for the Emmy-winning CBS Sunday Morning news show, profiling celebrities including Jamie Lee Curtis and Paula Abdul.Prior to The Early Show, Chen Moonves reported as anchor and reporter for WCBS-TV, a CBS-owned station that was based in New York City (1997-1999).Before joining CBS News, Chen Moonves worked as a reporter at WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). When she was finishing her last semester at university, she worked as an assistant for ABC News in Los Angeles (1990-1991) and served as the director of ABC NewsOne (the network's affiliated news service). As a desk-assistant in the ABC News late night broadcast Nightline she was a part of the team that worked with Ted Koppel. He remains one her heroes in journalism. Chen Moonves was Koppel's co-worker for Anatomy of a Riot (the primetime special that won the Columbia du-Pont award and examined the Los Angeles riots of 1992).
